X-Stream TeamFire in the StreamSchool: Dover Bay Secondary Votes Received: 76 Over the past few years, the Dover Bay Eco Club has spent many hours with local biologist Charles Thirkill working on habitat restoration projects around the streams. Problems from littering to dealing with invasive plants has brought us together. One of the clubs most recent and memorable project was helping coho salmons repopulate in our streams. "Fire in the Stream" reflects upon the amazing sight of spawning adult salmons that look like fire glowing in the water. This fire not only has the ability to burn under water but also to light the hope to a greener future. It is our pride to see returning salmons year after year and realize the growing success of our project. Mentors ConsultedNone TagsAnimals |
