The New Westminster Secondary School Environment Club has been working on a variety of projects that support and promote sustainability. They have a large spectrum of projects ranging from composting, phasing out plastic water bottles and non-reusable whiteboard markers, rooftop beehives and the installation of a wind turbine. Club members are able to participate in these various projects in the area of their interest and help keep them functioning and prosperous. Their goal in entering this competition is to promote student and staff awareness of green practices in their school environment.
