Rockridge Environment Club

Small School, Big Change.

School: Rockridge Secondary

Votes Received: 56

Students from grade 8 to 12 have been a driving force in our environment club this year, bringing together our academic departments and encouraging leadership in a variety of initiatives. One of our greatest achievements has been a successful collaboration with our Foods and English teachers who have incorporated lessons on composting and gardening in their grade 8 curricula. All of our grade 8’s now know how to compost! In addition to reducing our waste through recycling and composting, we are starting a school garden and expanding our efforts to reduce our energy consumption.
